Welcome to Skinny Bliss!

Hello Gorgeous!

Welcome to Skinny Bliss! It is my absolute pleasure to introduce you to my new blog. I'm hoping it will be quite the upgrade from my old one, But What Should I Eat. While I still plan to include healthy, special diet friendly recipes on this site, I'm expanding to include all aspects of wellness, as I feel there are multiple pieces to the puzzle of vibrant health.

Although I use the word "skinny", this is not a blog about counting calories or doing fat flushes. I have no intention of creating a following of people who care only about being skinny and are willing to sacrifice health to do it. That being said, the healthier we eat and live, the more likely we are to reach the ideal weight for our bodies. Human beings were not designed to carry boatloads of extra fat. Historically, we packed on pounds to fuel ourselves during scarcity, but it's pretty clear there isn't much scarcity going on in Western civilization these days. It's also important to note that skinny doesn't always equal healthy. There are people who look great on the outside, but when it comes to being truly healthy, it's what's going on inside that counts.

The word bliss means "perfect happiness" or "a state of spiritual joy". I believe that to achieve optimum health (and a hot bod!), one must enjoy their life, live out of love, and find the miracle in every situation. This isn't to say that you should never feel negative emotions; in fact, you should feel them fully and then let them go, because they are essential to life just as positive emotions are. But it is extremely important, especially when eating, to eliminate stress and negativity, as they can impede digestion and lead to weight gain.

My main message here: Bliss ----> Skinny, not the other way around. We must love and accept who we are before taking the steps to better health. Adopt the idea that you don't need to change, because our souls are perfect the way they are. Your body is an extension of your soul and therefore should be treated with loving kindness. And yes, when you treat your body well, skinny will follow! You will radiate beauty and health from the inside out. Ditch the idea that you won't be happy until you change your body, it's a mentality that doesn't serve you.

As you can see, this site is a bit of a work in progress. I am in the process of developing content, including an "about me" section. Please bear with me as I get started, I promise to deliver some fun stuff as soon as I can!
